Purchased 2 chairs from Seamans on no interest credit and subsequently received a bill stating that my payment was due on 1/29/2003. I paid well in advance of this date and received a statement saying that I owed nothing.
Later I received a letter saying that due to an error the previous statement should not have reflected a zero balance. I called HRS and they said that if I had read further down the statement, I would have found that promotion payments were due on 1/7/2003 so therefore the payment was late.
Seamans has been telling me for months that they will take care of this and told me last month not to pay the bill. Now a collection agency is calling looking for the original balance plus huge finance charges and late payments.
