Best buy makes more money on their credit cards, than on their merchandise. Worst customer service I ever experienced.

that statement is incorrect, they make more if customers use the best buy card other than any other credit card. all retailers have to pay a percentage of the charged price when customers use visa mastercard etc...

I agree that they make more if customers use a Best Buy credit card. Is the original poster saying Best Buy makes more oney on their credit card operation than on their merchandising? Is the profit margin so small?

I know Sears was making more on their credit card operations, and now they want to sell it for billions. McDonalds is in to real estate, not food.

I'm not sure if this is what the original poster meant or not. But it would be nice to know what Best Buy makes on any given sale using a Best Buy card and how much they continue to get until it is paid off.
