HSBC Mortgage Services and foreclosures
DR in Iowa asks this question that many others asked over the years: “Household Watch, will you please help me understand something? Why is HSBC Mortgage Services not being forced by our government, banking commissions, courts, or regulators to work with homeowners to keep their homes?
I have had it up to my eyeballs with this predatory company. Approximately three years ago, HSBC participated in a meeting with our government and all the other major banks and committed themselves to helping American homeowners. Yet today, they are NOT participating in MHA or any other foreclosure prevention programs, nor do they have a mortgage loan modification (or restructure, as they call it) program in place.
In fact, HSBC has repeatedly told me they are NOT doing any permanent mortgage loan modifications.
Why are they allowed to continue to operate in this country this way? And I’ve not even brought up their credit card servicing practices. That’s another whole story.
My husband is a combat veteran of the Vietnam War and suffers from PTSD. He is old enough to retire from his full-time job of 35 years. However, because of HSBC, he must continue to work.
We all know China supplied weapons to be used against our troops during the Vietnam War.
Now this company (The Hongkong Shanghai Banking Corporation) is a threat to our home, health, and financial stability. I’ve never been much into conspiracy theories, but I can’t help but wonder if there is something very sinister going on here. Is there? Please answer my questions. Thank you.”
