LU in North Carolina said: “I’ve received multiple (20+) phone calls from a collection company called ATG in reference to a Mac tools HSBC Account. The call’s come from a wide array of numbers, and for the most part they didn’t bother me. I’ve explained to them, all I could possibly pay them right now and still eat is $20-50 a month. They say thats not acceptable they cant take a payment.
So yesterday, I get 21 back to back calls from 773-227-6820, So I fax in a cease and desist order, and informed them for further contact please email, fax or mail any further communications. I call and get a member of their staff who confirms the fax was received, that i wouldnt receive futher calls.
Well by 6 am, I had 15 faxes with nothing but a big A on the sheet of paper, then I find out that I’ve been subscribed to a large list of adult spam sites and my email is full.
By lunch time, They had called 15 times, even after I answered and said I was at work and couldnt talk.
I end up talking to someone else, she proceeds to tell me “I’m a dumb ass f*cking redneck, No wonder I cant pay my bills I’m un-educated, They are going to take everything I have, I’m going to loose my license, I’ll be thrown in jail and taken advantage of by real men in prison”
That is an exact quote! If I had money, I would pay them.
Over a year ago before I missed the first payment , I called and said I’m having troubles… Within days my rate was at 29.9%. I’ve been billed hundreds upon hundreds of dollars in fee’s and all that since….any advice on what to do?”
Editor’s Note: A quick Google Search of the telephone number shows it belongs to ATG Credit LLC 1700 W Cortland St Chicago IL 60622 Tel: 773-227-6820. I’m sure they were taken advantage of by real men in prison before becoming bill collectors. Name-calling! Usually outgrown in the third grade, this former HSBC customer makes us think the skill is practiced by ATG Credit LLC.
Our best advice is to check your caller ID, and if the call is from 773-227-6820, record the conversation.
