Closed Account Re-activated for Service Charge
I closed my HSBC card account in 2009.The bank re-activated it and charged service charges without permission. I had changed address and didn’t find out that they were reporting late payments until several months later.
Calling the HSBC call center in India is useless.
Experian “investigated” and said that it is a valid debt.
I have filed a fraud complaint with the FTC but doubt it will go anywhere.
