BH in Texas said: “HSBC re-opened a closed Direct Merchant Bank credit card account without notifying me and is now hiking the rate on that card to almost 30%! How is it possible that they can re-open a closed account without me requesting it? I guess you can’t raise the interest rate on a closed account, but you can on an open account.”
