KS in Delaware said this about HSBC merchant Rainsoft: “I wanted to let someone know that I received a postcard in the mail stating that this company they tried to contact us and that we did not respond to a phone call. 2nd request was the postcard. I called the company and they stated that they were American Water and that they were affiliated with the water company. They stated that they would be out to test the water. So I agreed. When the guy arrived the next day I had no idea that they were going to sell us anything. They said that there was no obligation (meaning no charge for coming out). Well after the guy being in my house for 2 hours there it all came out that the company was not affiliated with the water company but it was Rainsoft. I am upset because I let this person into my house thinking he was affiliated with the water company. I am upset because they misrepresented themselves on the phone. I specifically asked who the company was on the phone and they never disclosed that they were from Rainsoft. Is there something that can be done. “
