PB in Tennessee said: “I can agree/ relate with SO MUCH of these complaints! I can attest to these insane calls from India because we have fallen on HARD times and gotten behind on our vehicle payment. I have had these rude people call at 6:55 AM on SUNDAY MORNING!!! Every other creditor has understood and refinanced and helped but not HSBC. Not their problem, I know. My income has been cut down to 1/3, just had a baby, have 5 of 7 kids still living at home…We are now 38 days late and after spending $40 to fax all bills they told me to send in 2 payments and they MIGHT reduce APR.
HSBC talked down to us, all but called me a liar about our situation and told me (version #2) I needed to sell my other car that I NEED which is nearly paid off. Sell that and they would let me take 4 months to get caught up on 2 payments (?!). We are bracing ourselves for the big repo and the aftermath. They are unreasonable. We get a different story with every different person we talk to. They seem to make it up as they go with no consistencies. And I am sick of listening to RUDE Indians chew their food in my ear!”
