Dp in Pennsylvania said: “HFC-Beneficial has managed to cause my family more grief than any other company on earth. First, even though we contacted them faithfully and let them know we were going through hard times (cancer) they found it in their heart to put a lien against a piece of property (my home) that they already held the morgage for.

Then in their outstanding way they executed on a bank account that only had 31.00 in it but it set off overdraft fees because the bank charged 100 dollars for telling them we had no money.

So now we owe 572.00 in fees….but that isn’t the end of the story. We were paying 500 every other week but fell short one week and asked for being allowed to pay on December 21st a double payment. Instead HFC somehow found the bank account that I have my paycheck direct deposited into and they in their season friendliness executed upon that account and took……2900 dollars on December 23rd and tying up the bank account so I couldn’t even buy food for Christmas.

I called all the way up to the CEO’s executive assistant begging and groveling to please only take half…..but each person told me not to take it personal. Now, I cannot make my mortgage payment with them and they are now calling me every hour upon the hour.

I may never recoup from this loss of money and cannot buy the needed medicine for my son, his new very much needed glasses or pay the utilities. I am without funds now until the END of January and HFC tells us not to take it personal.

I cannot buy food or anything and to top it off have humiliated myself in front of the adjustor by begging for mercy and now have no pride. Let me tell you HFC should be proud of themselves…but again it isn’t personal. I am not sure what I am going to do and as a single mom of two am ready to take the bridge. Please HELP with this problem…where do I go or who do I turn to?”
