SP in California said: “When I attempted to activate my card, I was given a list of security questions to answer, allegedly based on “public records.” In spite of the fact that I answered truthfully and I am the person to whom the credit card was sent, I “failed.”

Apparently HSBC has bought INCORRECT information from some vendor and now I must jump through hoops to verify my identity. Using public records as a source of information is a very poor idea. Those are even more inaccurate than the credit card information services which also have a large inaccuracy rate.”
