AO in Florida said: “I just found out after inquiring with the IRS about my tax return status (I had not recieved my refund) that someone else filed a tax return under my name through H&R Block HSBC. A refund was issued to someone who fraudulently filed a refund with HSBC Tax Masters in New Castle Delaware in my name apparently using my private information.
I now have to go through a rediculous and time consuming process to report and prove that I have not recieved my tax refund to try to get my money.
Has anyone reported this type of fraud involving HSBC? Any tips on how I should proceed with these jokers? Thanks for your help”
