Our mortgage is due to go up the end of April, to 2800+ that is without escrowing taxes (another story)…at any rate, I thought I would be proactive and apply for a hardship loan modification, which I did in December, 2009.
Brenda in New Jersey said: “I did not initially apply for my mortgage from HSBC it was bought out by Champion Mortgage. I applied for a mortgage loan modification from HSBC. I supplied them with all the appropriate documents in 6/2009 and they denied my application 3/2010. My attorney stated they they would probably do that because that’s what they are known for. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. NOW I am in the final stages of foreclosure being forced to file Chapter 13 to try to keep my home when HSBC could have helped BUT chose not to. I have been searching for another way out but since my loan is serviced by HSBC there is no other way. I wonder how many other home owners are in the same situation only because their loan is serviced by HSBC.

HMPO907 – it was received on 12.07.09 – I then checked that my account was closed by making a purchase with the card – it was rejected – this notice was signed by Patricia Burke, President, HSBC Credit Card Services Inc.
